TheDisplacedChildren (Skolombo) as fondly called by calabar people,

#TheDisplacedChildren (Skolombo) as fondly called by calabar people,we rate them *Witch* *Thief* etc. But we forget that this children are survivors of Broken home, Poor/Rich that lack care, from town that experiences war.
*A child can not run away from Home if there's care and lov*
I took a walk to Marian to chill with few of my new friends, I learnt a lot from them, Smart and friendly were them all, Gideon the most smartest could read and write very well and Emmanuel can not Read but have talent in singing and dancing.
Still working on studying all of their behaviours.
#Note: join me in this mission to Get this children off the street, Give them hope for the future, they are potentially Gifted in one way or the other. The Government will not help them because they have plans of using them dreadfully to accomplish political vices. Support #TheVoice Support #HopeForTheStreet in this fight for Hope our Future is safe of Future *Headsmen*, *Bokoharam* or *Skolombo*

D'Voice-Morning NEWS

Good morning! Here is today’s summary from Nigerian Newspapers

1. The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Hafeez Abubakar has resigned.

Abubakar, who tendered his resignation in a letter dated August 5th 2018 and addressed to the state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje on Sunday, said he had desired to remain in office until the end of their tenure, but chose to resign due to irreconcilable differences with the governor.

2. The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led by its chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has lifted the suspension placed on Senator Shehu Sani representing Kaduna Central senatorial district of Kaduna State.

The party, therefore, directed the chairman of the party in Tudun ward and others to implement the directive with a view to complementing the peace efforts being made by the national leadership of the party to bring back peace in the party in Kaduna State.

3. A former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio, was on Sunday pictured in London with President Muhammadu Buhari.

Akpabio, who won his seat in the Senate on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is believed to be set to decamp to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

4. A chieftain of Yoruba socio-political organisation, Ayo Adebanjo has described President Muhammadu Buhari as a dictator.

Adebanjo recalled how he warned Nigerians against voting for Buhari in 2015 but his call was ignored.

5. Former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara state, Akogun Oyedepo, has said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would defeat the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2019 general elections in the state.

According to him, all members of the splinter group that remained in PDP had no electoral value, stressing that APC was the party to beat in any election in Kwara.

6. The leadership of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) at the weekend claimed that the 2019 general elections will mark the expiration of the Nigerian entity, even as it decried what the group called the high level of hatred of Ndigbo by President Muhammadu Buhari.

MASSOB through its National Leader, Comrade Uche Mmadu, condemned in totality the attempt by the President Buhari-led federal government to build a modern petroleum refinery in his home state of Katsina, which according to the MASSOB leader, was not an oil producing state.

7. The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has reacted to the speculations of defection of the Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, told Daily Sun, yesterday that Akpabio, was yet to inform the party about his alleged plan to defect to the APC.

8. The Reformed All Progressives Congress, R-APC, has alleged that the Federal Government was plotting to remove Bukola Saraki as the Senate President.

In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Prince Kassim Afegbua, on Saturday, R-APC alleged that the APC-led government was plotting to bribe the Senators with N50m each.

9. Femi Falana, activist lawyer has said the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and other lawmakers who defected from the All Progressives Congress, APC, to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, should resign from the legislature.

Falana hinged his reason on the fact that lawmakers who defected were elected on the platform of the APC, hence the need to resign and seek a fresh mandate under their new party.

10. Ayodele Fayose, outgoing Governor of Ekiti State on Sunday insisted that he was still a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Fayose, who is the Chairman of PDP Governors’ Forum, said those associating him with a move to the All Progressives Congress, APC, were doing so at their own political deceit.

Happy New Week

*UPDATE ON THE FORTHCOMING STUDENTS' WEEK*

Greetings in the sprit of oneness and solidarity!
I want to seize this opportunity, to wish all Nigerian and Foreign Students a happy and grace filled, new and a successful deliberation during the inaugural Congress of the Students' Union Government today.

Owing to the rhythm of the season, which beats to the tone of the much anticipated annual Union's event *The Students' Week 2018*, I want to reiterate my resolve to grant all Students the very best they deserve in line with my leadership philosophy of burden bearing.

The theme for this year is: *Youth Migration in Africa; Causes, Effects and Sustainable Solutions.* This, hopes to take didactic steps towards sensitizing our Students against the ugly spectres of illegal migration among African youths which from a critical perspective, is killing development, innovations and creativity in the African society and it is further detrimental to the image of Africa in the postmodern world. Hence, an avenue for a philosophical deconstruction against the perceived "greener pastures".

The pre-celebration event, will begin on Friday the 3rd of August, 2018 with a sensitization and awareness rally around campus with the terminal point at the female hostel. All Students are encouraged to join as there are lots of prizes to be won and much fun to enjoy.

On Sunday, the 5th of August will be the Dedication Service at St. Paul's Catholic Church, University of Calabar, by 6.15am. It will be an avenue to officially dedicate the anticipated success of the week to God.
